New Exhibition for August

Following on from the popular exhibition of Newcastle under Lyme students, we have now welcomed our August exhibition of work by Textile artists Margaret Horton and Joan Brailsford.
Lovely work- I strongly urge you to come along to take a look.

Just a reminder that if you are an artist living local to Eccleshall, Staffordshire and would like to exhibit your work in the gallery we are now taking bookings for 2013.

Students from Newcastle-under-Lyme College have been invited to exhibit in the Gallery this month.
Today was my first opportunity to view the exhibition -
Some of our members viewed their work at the college end of year exhibition and selected a few students to exhibit their work in the Gallery -

Eccleshall Festival

Yesterday Eccleshall held its Festival and the whole of the High Street was transformed.
The Street was lined with stalls, with the majority of the stall holders entering into the spirit of the event wearing some imaginative costume - this year the theme was anything connected with Royalty.
It was great to see Eccleshall filled with so many people walking up and down the street soaking in the atmosphere.

as you can see some had a battle to keep their stalls from flying off.

Gallery at 12 held some mini workshops/demonstrations
We had Jo Hill doing a demonstration with her sewing machine

Cathy Sumner was making clay tiles with some little folk in the arcade area

and Angela Smith was making beaded bracelets and necklaces -

Michael Wheeley was manning the gallery for the day
