Our gallery has had a bit of a make over

After a couple of recent exhibitions for our 2D artists we have been able to introduce some new paintings into the gallery and re hang many of the other paintings - a couple of our artists spent most of a Sunday doing so and it is now looking even better than before.

 I have selected a few items to show you but this is by no means all of the new work, hopefully though it will give you an idea of the art work we have and make you want to come in and take a look - so next time you are driving along the M6 and see a sign for Eccleshall you might just decide to turn off and come and pay us a visit - you will be very welcome and then you might also choose to visit one of the cafes, or pubs for something to eat too and take in some of the other lovely independent shops along the High Street!

New exhibition for March

Every month we offer space for a local artist to exhibit their work - This month we welcome Philippa Graham and her wonderful art work. Here are some of her pieces.

As I was closing yesterday I had a last minute visitor desperate to come in and view Philippa's work - don't panic if you haven't visited yet, the exhibition will be up until the last week in March.

If you would be interested in exhibiting 2D or 3D pieces in the gallery please pop in and have a chat or telephone us - we would love to hear from you.

What a dragonfly!!!!

I had to visit the gallery today so I took my camera to see if I could spot any new work to show you. Well there is absolutely no way I or anyone else could fail to spot this absolutely wonderful dragonfly -I am so pleased to see a piece of art like this in the gallery I think it is fantastic - I am sure whoever has this will love it to bits!!!!

Who and what is new in the Gallery today?

 My day was spent in the gallery with our new member artist Wayne Tomlinson - his work is truly spectacular, these seascapes are inspired by the stunning Pembrokeshire coast - a place very close to my heart, I could look at these all day!

If sea crashing onto rocks isn't your thing then Wayne also has this more calming peaceful painting of some standing stones

I had planned on sharing a three more pictures of new items by other member artists but as two of them sold today the other remaining item will look like a tag on so I will save it for another day.

Unintentionally I left my two remaining Valentine cards in the card stand at the end of the day, so if any one still needs to buy a belated Valentine's card there are still some available from the Gallery tomorrow.

I took this amethyst and Swarovski crystal necklace earring set in today.

 Gillian McMillan one of our guest artists brought in some new stock yesterday, including some ceramic jewellery and cards,

There was also an item by an artist who will soon be joining us as a new member - his art work is wonderful and I am really looking forward to sharing it with you
