Tanglewood Art - this month's exhibition

We are very happy to be housing an exhibition of art work by Carole Knight of Tanglewood Art this month.
I was in the gallery this afternoon and everyone who visited the upstairs gallery commented on how much they liked Carole's work.

Who and what is new in the Gallery today?

My day was spent in the gallery with our new member artist Wayne Tomlinson - his work is truly spectacular, these seascapes are inspired by the stunning Pembrokeshire coast - a place very close to my heart, I could look at these all day!

If sea crashing onto rocks isn't your thing then Wayne also has this more calming peaceful painting of some standing stones

I had planned on sharing a three more pictures of new items by other member artists but as two of them sold today the other remaining item will look like a tag on so I will save it for another day.

Unintentionally I left my two remaining Valentine cards in the card stand at the end of the day, so if any one still needs to buy a belated Valentine's card there are still some available from the Gallery tomorrow.

New member, new exhibition, new work, new wall!

There is always something new to look at when I visit the Gallery, but today was exceptional. Firstly as soon as I walked in I couldn't fail to notice our new wall. A couple of our members went in on Sunday to put in a new wall which adds some more interest to the lay out of the ground floor gallery space and also to add more wall hanging space. I think it's great and has changed the whole look of the Gallery.

On Thursday our new exhibition was set up. For December we are delighted to be housing a lovely exhibition by Henrietta Ellis. Here are some examples of her textile art.

Also last week, we welcomed Vance Lupton as a full member to the Staffordshire Artists Co-operative, Vance came in originally as a guest, we are very excited about having such a talented wood turner as part of the co-operative.

and then there were also these wonderful new scarves designed by member textile artist Jo Hill
